Message | Estimated Hearers, Nation of Kazulia, um.... hrm... erm... As I was opening the envelope containing this budget proposal from the NA, I was hardening myself... Yeah, we've gotten used to be expecting the worst. More government spending, more vanity military fireworks. Yeah... Look around in the world. I dare you all to find a state in the world that has higher taxes than Kazulia and a bigger military spending. I dare you. I think you won't find it. Ha! Yeah, foreigners will say, yeah, Kazulia is a fascist-royalist regime. That's just how one would expect. Tax the working people and spend the most of it on parades and fireworks. Ha! Now, please take a second look. THIS regime... has... NOT raised taxes... it has NOT raised the military budget. Oh, I wish it were so, that these fiscal policies were indeed only the result of the passions of the fascist movement, but they were put in place at the time when the Workers Congress, and the self-professed "small govenrment" Höyre were the dominating forces of the Kazulian democracy. It is no wonder that the people have learned to distrust "democratic" politicians. We had to consolidate our Kjerne movement into a party for this, if for nothing else - to bring honour and coherency back into Kazulian politics. Yeah, look... The NAF has been coherent and true to its honour. It is doing what it preaches. One thing it has not needed to do is raise taxes and military budget - this was already put in place for them, the road was already paved. It's as if those proclaimed democratic parties made a deal with the fascists... no, not even a deal. it was an unconditional gift... "We can do the boring, painful preparation - we raise the taxes - and then you can come forth all glitter and shine, the pride of Kazulmark. All hail Kazulmark, All hail our powerful leader." Well... Then it was with a great relief I could convince myself... I had to read it twice... that the NA wants to rectify our greatest grievance - the military budget. I think Kasper Magnus is honest about it when he says he supports this revision of the NA policy too. I repeat: It's the policies of the self-proclaimed "progressives", the old NA, and H, that needs to be rectified. It was not the Queen who was eager to tax the people to death to be able to hold parades and feed imperialistic sentiments and passions. Well... Kjerne is in support of the drift of this budget proposal... For the moment, until democratic elections have been held, it is futile to dig deeper into it... There is another scandalous grievance involved in the fiscal policies of Kazulmark, that I haven't even touched on here... But... erm... that'll be all to say for now... Thank you.. - Arvid Horn M. Sc. (Kj) |

Message | Herr Huspresident, You insult the NAF. Parades and fireworks are a waste of our money. We do not make public displays, save for privately funded rallies. Signed, Franz Highsun |

Message | Diktator Highsun, I think Arvid Horn was just speaking his own hopes when he talked of parades and fireworks, but of course you might have more grand and sinister plans. Well, a large military budget is usually motivated by the need for defence. What are we fearing? I ask sincerely. It concerns us all. Dankuk? Hulstria? They also use a relatively large defence budget, but they are smaller economies, and use lower taxes. If they feel they need to allocate a relatively large portion for defence, it is no wonder - they fear us, and are sweating to keep up with us enough for to at least deter any uncivil vain ideas our great army might inspire in certain elements in this chamber. If there are other threats you see on the horizon, please tell us about them. Or are you planning offensive warfare? Please tell Kazulmark where? Why? For what good of the Kazulian people? - Eivind Andersen, former Lieutenant (Kj) |
