Description[?]:

Seeing that it is important for us to make provisions in the development and advancement of our defence force, mainly our defensive and possibly offensive capabilities, it therefore necessary for us to recognise the fact that without the capability and capacity to conduct sustained military operations might it be abroad or at home, the defence force does not meet its aim of defending the interests of this nations.

In the event that our foreign interests are threatened, although we are capable of responding to said threat, without a naval base and combined arms support, we cannot sustain a war on our own, without using a naval base/air base/military base (which we do not have). That is why this proposal is being made. With a naval vessel called Aircraft Carrier. An aircraft carrier will give us the ability to support any strategic campaign out of out ground force's reach. However, specific designs are capable of serving in the sea-control role, embarking aircraft like VTOL fighters, strike aircraft and anti-submarine warfare helicopters or operating as a safe base for large numbers of STOVL fighters conducting air support for the Land expeditionary unit once it has gone ashore.

The following as ideas which can be considered as possibilities:-

MessageAll hearers of this house,

We respect and laud the competence and qualifications that we know the NA ranks is rife with. We do not contest any of the technical, tactical assertions that are being made here. As long as it is guaranteed that the total military budget shall not continue to escalate we will support the NA defence plan. But could we trust their intentions?

There is a general attitude and outlook concerning foreign policies stated here that we do not agree with.
When the representative of NA says that this military item can "be used to sway internal political policy. The very presence of an aircraft carrier of the coast of a nation-state is enough to influence its internal policies", we are sorry that we have to acknowledge that this has, for a very long time, been a normalized attitude among the political class of Kazulmark. They are transgressing their stated ambitions of providing a military defence against foreign violations, into pure imperialistic ambitions.
It never comes anything good out of the ambitions of regime-change, to "influence the internal policies" of other nations. It is normally used as another vain argument for to raise taxes for to build up the army, and all it does is to nurture the hatred of other peoples against Kazulia.
We should instead respectfully meet them in diplomatic relations and mutually beneficial trade relations and treaties, but let them sort out their policies for themselves.

MessageHerr Huspresident,

Our faith and confidence in defence minister Sigbjörn Halseth is unwavering. It is a good thing to have cabinet members you can trust. You know they will do a good job. As long as our minister of foreign affairs, Anette Brodersen, pursues an international policy of sound diplomacy, and peace before war - the which we also trust - and the defence department keeps within budget, we are reassured with knowing that Herr Halseth will intelligently decide where to best allocate his funds.

We must use what expertise we possess within the government. We are therefore willing to approve this, and other suchlike bills coming from the department of defence.

But may I point out that our work in the government is a coalition, it rests upon that we can cooperate. If there are schisms that cut too deep, we will have a government crisis. It will be impossible for Finance Minister Arvid Horn and Kjerne to continue in this government unless we are being heard, in our most basic demands, by the New Democrats, and most particularly the Workers Congress.

I will leave it to Arvid Horn to speak out about our grievances in the context of a new taxation bill of ours.
