Bill: Nationalisation of Oil and Gas Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Kommunistische Partei
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4309
Description[?]:
Mr. Chairman, It is totally wrong to allow our natural resources, which should be used for the benefit of the ordinary Dorvish people, to be exploited by private companies, just so they can make profit. Some of these companies are not even Dorvish, so the profits are siphoned off abroad. This bill proposes that all of Dorvik's oil and gas should be brought until national government control. Message | Mr.Chairman, Establishing a Government Monopoly on Oil And Gas will simply destroy productivity and will lead to sluggishness,And also, the Dorvish Oil Company is already not just taking part in the oil industry but also works together with Private Companies and Regulates their activities efficiently,We believe that the Current Level of Government involvement is more than enough. Message | OOC: Just for the record... Please keep in mind that there is something called 'wikia' and a lot of information about each country is enlisted there, and a lot about Dorvik as well, I know, because I played in Dorvik for over a year. If you would just open wikia and search for Dorvik and Corporations in Dorvik you would see that there is a nationalized oil company called "Dorvish Oil Company" http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Dorvish_Oil_Company that it is in 75% nationalized. So please, next time before you propose something.. check if you are not making an "impaired proposal". Friendly reminder. |

Message | OOC: I confess I don't read the Wikia religiously, and TBH I don't even necessarily take what's there as gospel anyway, because in my experience, a lot of Wikia articles are dated or contradicting each other etc.. Can anyone explain to me the situation with regards to Dorvik's oil? I don't see it being said anywhere that the Dorvish Oil Company has a monopoly on Dorvish oil. So I would presume the Dorvish Oil Company is just one oil company amongst others in Dorvik. (And even the Dorvish Oil Company is partially in private hands.) So basically, I'm not seeing anything obviously wrong with this bill. ie. At least some of Dorvish oil and gas is in private hands, so it can theoretically be nationalised. But do tell me if I'm missing something here (and I might be...). |
