MessageMr. Chairman,

We find it troubling that once again the TGP are trying to legalise torture and strip ex-prisoners of their civil rights.

MessageMr.Chairman,

The legalisation of Torture for ermergencies of the state is vital for the security of the state. If a terrorist or other evil minded person commits a terrorist act in Dorvik and we could have prevented it by putting pressure on them or on their informants wouldnt you have done it?

Ex criminals have to adept to our democratic society once they come back into ordinary life. By putting a time restriction on when they can vote again we ensure that they have fully adapted to our society once more.

Theodore Aswalt,
President of the TGP

MessageMr. Chairman,

Torture is never justified. As well as being completely immoral, it is also ineffective, because people who are being subjected to torture tell their captors whatever they want to hear - which is not always the same thing as the truth.

As for the voting rights of released criminals, as somebody who has spent time in prison myself, I can confirm that fulfilling the civic duty of voting in elections is a step along the path towards rehabilitation.

MessageMr. Chairman,

This step towards rehabilitation is a step that should be approached carefuly and therefore a time restriction is needed.

Torture can help greatly as a last resort for true criminals of the people and republic. We need information. And we can only get it out of the hands of the worst individuals by using the same method they do.

Theodore Aswalt,
President of the TGP

Random fact: Once approved, players should copy Cultural Protocols into a bill in the debate section of their nation page, under the title of "OOC: Cultural Protocols". This bill should include links to the passed Cultural Protocol bill and the Moderation approval.

Random quote: "Capitalism demands the best of every man- his rationality- and rewards him accordingly. It leaves every man free to choose the work he likes, to specialize in it, to trade his product for the products of others, and to go as far on the road of achievement as his ability and ambition will carry him." - Ayn Rand
