| Message | Herr Huspresident, Our income taxes are extremely high, on top of which all enterprises are required to cover basic payroll contributions for their employees. On top of that we have both a substantial corporation tax and sales tax [on par with the highest RL examples] In such an environment it is impossible to run a small business without cheating the system. This has got to be known by you all, though you may choose to shut your eyes to it. It is impossible to run any enterprise without hefty state subsidies. Although nominally we are a market economy, in practice we are a firmly socialist economy, with only the black market keeping us afloat. Reform is urgently needed. We have proposed an income tax system to at least get us on a par with other civilized nations. We here propose to abolish the corporation tax. While this tax very much hurts, particularily, smaller enterprises, it brings in very little revenue to the state.
