| WHEREAS it is an infringement upon the citizens' rights to their own bodies to ban smokable tobacco, the manufacturing, selling, and consumption of said products will not be disrupted by the Republic. Consumption of tobacco is legal outdoors, as the property of diffusion will greatly deter harmful exposure. Also, tobacco use may be legal in pubs and in private residences. However, caregivers who repeatedly expose minors to harmful second-hand smoke may be accountable for negligence. Tobacco is free from the Watchdog group that oversees recreational drug use, but tobacco companies must always label their products detailing the dangers of consumption. Also, tobacco companies must dedicate 5% of their profits to programs either explaining the dangers of their products or to helping smokers quit. An additional 10% of profits must be given to the NHS to help cover increased operating costs. |
