| Message | Our belief is that the government should not place itself in the middle of the employment contract between private parties, one seeking to work, and the other seeing workers. The minimum wage reduces the number of available jobs, thereby reducing the number of first-time job holders the opportunity to train for better employment. If an employer offers low wages, that employer will find a meager market for workers. But, if a worker desires to work at the wage offered, why should he be denied that opportunity? The objective of any worker is to get off minimum wage as soon as possible, and no one should remain in a minimum wage job for an extended period, anyway . The objective of all low-end jobs is to develop marketable job skills in order to command a higher wage. Of the 268 regions in Terra three of our 5 regions are in the to 50 most unemployed. Eliminating the minimum wage will pave the way for new jobs to be created at the employers already in Zardugal, and attract new businesses to bring in additional jobs. |
