Bill: Horn3 Income tax reform of March 4310
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4310
Description[?]:
While it is no secret that to the Kjerne movement Income Tax is, at best, a "necessary evil", and a long-term goal of ours is to fully abolish income tax, we acknowledge that this is still only a prospect on the horizon far off into the future. While our ambition with this proposed reform is much more modest, it would still mean a giant step out of the neo-feudal economic structure that has shaped Kazulmark for the last century. While there has been a broad left-right range in the Folketing concerning civil rights questions etc, and whereto allocate the state budget, the era has been marked by the unanimous adherence to the idea that the government, via a, by international standards incomparably high taxation and centrally directed allocation of subsidies, is best appropriated to direct trade and industry, and the range of choice of consumption for indivduals. The Kjerne party is a display of a movement, which we know has been brewing and is also more or less prevalent in all non-fascist parties, to modernize the economy and bring it more in line with the rest of modern Terra. |

Message | Herr Huspresident, I submit this tax reform on your table, a flick of the wrist of a Kazulian citizen, a revolution for Kazulmark. We at least trust that our coalition partners, if they will not vote for this Horn3 proposal, they will put forward their own alternative plans, that are compatible with the three conditions we have agreed to: 1. No taxation up to 6000 KKR 2. No marginal tax rate over 50% 3. Estimated revenue shall not exceed 650,000,000,000 KKR. If our two coalition partners agree to another plan, we will vote for that. Other parties may also propose plans, and the same goes for that - if it satisfies the three conditions and both our coalition partners want it, we will also vote for it. As soon as we have the income tax system in place, I will start work on the budget. Here are the comparisons of how this tax plan lands on six different income brackets: Current: 50>50>50>44>43>47 Horn0: 32>32>32>34>37>43 ----- (Was proposed in March 4303) Horn1: 0>12>26>34>40>45 Horn2: 0>10>30>37>42>46 Horn3: 0>10>25>33>40>46 Sekowo: 0>13>24>30>41>51 ----- (An example of a country with a comparably high income tax) -Arvid Horn, Minister of Finance |
