| In response to the terrible attack of the Hosian Preservation Front against the metro station of Haldor i hereby ask parliament to authorize a military incursion in the south in order to rid the nation of the HPF and to bring its members to justice. We have all witnessed this attack. We have all seen the destruction and death it has cost our nation. I urge all MP's to vote in favour of this bill. Letting this group walk around freely underground or above ground is a great danger to our nation. We are at war on 2 fronts lady's and gentleman. While our brave men are preparing to fight in Hulstria others are preparing to fight for Dorvik itself. Let us win in the name of democracy and freedom. Let us not hide. Let us stand up and protect our society and everything it stands for! In order to appease the south and ensure them of our good intentions to only bring these terrorists to justice i propose the following. Article 1 -The DMIO (Dorvish Military Intelligence Office) and DNIA (Dorvish National Intelligence Agency) will be fully authorized to arrest anyone suspected of being a HPF member and or sympathizer for interrogation. If someone is deemed not guilty he or she should be released immediately. Article 2 -The Dorvish military will upon passing of this bill deploy a task force of 10.000 dorvish soldiers in the southern provinces of Miktar,Largonia and the island of Dorvan. This force will be directly controlled by a military council consisting out of 4 members. 3 of which will be generals originating from the south and 1 of which will be the president. The military task force will get all the available equipment necessary to conduct its operations (Tanks, Helicopters, trucks, artillery etc.) Article 3 -Once the DMIO deems the situation in the south to be under control and the HPF mostly eliminated the military task force will be forced to leave immediately. This will happen once the DMIO director has officialy signed a recommendation of withdrawal. Article 4 -A inspector of southern origin will be assigned to make sure the military mission stays on its objectives listed below and will not conduct any other operation. Article 5 -A nightly curfew will be instituted until the end of major operations. The curfew will be enforced from 9 pm in the evening until 6 pm in the morning throughout the week and the curfew will be suspended during the weekends. Objectives: -The destruction of at least 85% of the HPF organization -The arrest of the remaining 4 metro attackers -The destruction of possible military HPF assets in the south -The arrest of HPF leader JAGER This bill needs to pass for dorvik. I have done my best to include as many southeners in high ranking positions for this operation to ensure that we show our good intentions. We also limited the amount of soldiers send to the south since the HPF alledgedly owns 40.000 able bodied followers ready to fight with an additional 20.000 civilians ready to supply their fighters. | Message | Mr. Chairman, We would like to add that we have discussed Article 5 with the regional governments of all provinces and Largonia, Miktar, Kordusia and Dorvan agreed to impose a curfew according to this law once it passes. Only Westmark did not agree and will not enforce a curfew. We also proposed our Society protection bill to give the national government the power to impose curfews so that we can ensure the safety of our citizens. | Message | Mr. Chairman, We completely and utterly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on Haldor Central Station, and offer our fullest sympathy for the victims and their loved ones. Nevertheless, we must question the wisdom of responding to this incident with a military intervention involving 10,000 armed soldiers. Is this really the best way to root out the Hosian Preservation Front (HPF)? Isn't there a risk such a heavy-handed approach will go down the wrong way with southerners, and maybe even be counter-productive? Bear in mind that the key to defeating a group like HPF is through good intelligence, which means we need citizens - southerners, especially - to be very vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to the authorities. If we alienate these people with our approach, this could make them less willing to be supportive and co-operative. Wouldn't it be better to let the intelligence services and the police take care of this? There is no reason why the military should not be asked to help with specific operations, where that is necessary, but I cannot see the case for the sizeable military intervention being proposed here. | Message | Mr. Chairman, This terrorist group has the posibility of killing thousands. It is proven that they have weapons and with over 40.000 aledged members it would be devastating to let this organization just roam around while killing civilians and police. Therefor we proposed this act. To deal decisively with this major threat. This is a heavy handed approuch yes but we have done everything possible to make it as much as a southern operation as it is northern. There are also enough safety procedures in this proposal to make sure the military operation will not reach beyond its initial objective. We look forward to the passing of this bill so that we can make sure that the HPF will be nothing but a footnote in histroy. As it should be for everyone that is prepared to attack Dorvisch freedom.
