Message | Mr. Marshal. I have found a bit of a contradictory in this bill. The Changes that are being made to change the Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers is sadly unacceptable. If the businesses are gonna be regulated by not being able to fire workers for striking in protest, then the businesses will be hampered paying wages to people who don't even work, and when people refuse to work then they should be fired, whether on strike or not. Andrzej Tymoteusz Paszek. Leader of Jedność Narodowa (National Unity). |

Message | Mr. Marshall, I will try to explain out intentions to Mr. Paszek and the members of the National Unity. The proposed bill introduces a series of connected provisions, which at first glance may seem contradictory, but I assure Mr. Paszek they are not. First of all, any trade union or workers' union in any business will be obliged to vote the idea of going on strike. Those who went on strike illegally, with no vote carried out beforehand may be subject to disciplinary layoffs. Government's agreement will only be necessary if the possible layoffs is potentially threatening for the condition of the company. In addition to that, the Ministry of Trade and Industry is working with private and public enterprizes to include the provision on salaries withhold for the time of illegal strike. Liliana Uduman, Minister of Trade and Industry. |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
