Bill: Private Education

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2062

Description[?]:

Again, our intention is to force a vote on something we believe is popular with the electorate, and thereby increase the penalty on those who conspired to change it into socialism. You are welcome to comment if you wish, but really debate is not what this bill is for-

We have a history of voting along with this kind of initiative, and although it's an uneasy one, we'll maintain it.

MessageI agree, and there are other reasons to support public education as well. Unfortunately, I don't want to lose seats over it or be accused of flip-flopping on the issue. Hence, I maintain the stance that was formed in NCP days.

MessageHmmm but even so higher salarie will attract more teachers who will be of a better quality. Public schools have no incentive to do this and are controlled by unions instead. And the quality of public schools are very unequal as well..

So the end result is we get the same inequality of education, but everyone still gets a better education than before..
