Mr. President,

We as Federationists don't have any particular objection to Article 1. However, we do recognize that in different parts of the country, different values sometimes prevail. For instance, in Saisyut, the country's religious and cultural capitol, many Hawu men and women might prefer a more deliberative and retrained approach. As Federationists, we believe the Sepatru should have that choice if they wish, and therefore we would prefer to relax the current law by giving the Local Governments the authority to decide this matter.

As for Article 2, we as Federationists are not aware of why a more restrictive policy is necessary. Perhaps if Labor Party members would inform the Gathering about why a change in the current adoption policy is necessary, we as Federationists may be able to consider supporting Article 2.

Thank you Mr. President. I yield.

Mr. President,

I note that the Labor Party has considered our views regarding the Anek bill and has amended the bill to include them. I thank Labor Party members for their flexibility on this matter and the bill will have our full support if and when it comes to vote.

Thank you Mr. President. I yield.
