| Message | Madam Speaker, We see no need for this arrangement. Firstly, there are parties in this proposal that we would not enter in coalition with. Secondly, such a cabinet will be full,of division and disunity. With six parties, some with very different ideologies, in a coalition there would be no consensus on government policy with some parties voting against bill put forward by their government partners! Such an arrangement makes a mockery of the idea of government and opposition. We have proposed a coalition consisting of only three parties who will be able to govern effectively with a parliamentary majority. |
