| After recent events, the Fascist Regime has decided that Hosianism can no longer be the only recognized religion in Selucia. The Selucian Right Wing Alliance worked hard to implement Hosianism as Selucia's state religion, and that hard work was met with the arch-patriarch denouncing the government's persecution of Yeudis as well as the excommunication of the great Consul Marcus Antonius Marinus Cato. The government-led persecution targeted the Yeudi ethnicity, and was not meant to focus solely on the religion itself, which was a significant misunderstanding. We wish to make ourselves clear now. The persecution of Yeudis will most certainly not halt, but we want to emphasize that the issue is with the Yeudi ethnicity and not just Yeudism. The Selucian Right Wing Alliance have also decided to once again open Selucia up to religious freedom after the arch-patriarch's betrayal. Hosianism will remain as the state religion, but its membership will now become voluntary. The government never severely enforced the legislation which stated membership was mandatory, and now encourage all Selucians to practice they religion they wish to follow. However, the arch-patriarch's betrayal also means the Selucian Right Wing Alliance is no longer able to trust religions as they did before, and has come to the conclusion that taxes on religions need to be re-instated. Along with the taxation of religious institutions, religions will now have to obtain government approval before promoting their respective religions through advertisement, private blasphemy is no longer considered a criminal offense, conscientious objectors may still be exempted from combatant military roles, but will instead be placed into non-combatant rules, and candidates of any race/religion now have a place in the military however may not hold positions of command.
