Introduction: In order to clarify and set into law just cause for conscientious objection from national service, and to what areas objection may be accepted. Definitions: •Conscientious Objector: an individual who objects to service in the military on moral (philosophical, religious, or political) grounds. Article I: Individuals who are conscientious objectors with a traceable and demonstrable personal record of opposing war and combat violence may object from service in combat roles within the nation’s military. Those serving in non-combat roles do not qualify. A conscientious objector can be dismissed from duty in good standing, without court martial, or they may be relegated to a civilian service or non-combatant role within the military. |
