Message | The Society considered offering a proposal to make all power stations private, but then the concept of hydro-electric dams and the like came up. Dams have wide-reaching effects(and not necessarily with the environment, but also with the citizens) that perhaps some powerstations should remain a public responsibility. |

Message | We agree with the Society in that power generation has consequences that cross prefectoral boundaries. We would favor complete privatization, with some federal regulation to ensure environmental safeguards, but this is a move in the right direction for us. Therefore, we can support. |
