Bill: asdg

Details

Submitted by[?]: One Nation Socialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2193

Description[?]:

As it stands our great and noble Nation is one of the largest in terms of population and area, yet our peoples of whom we serve are woefully under-represented. I say now that we recognise the need for democracy in all levels of government, I believe government can be a force for good, it does not have to be all consuming but it is there to serve. Roll Back the state by all means but ensure that we have the neccesery tools to do this, democracy is intrinsic to this nations porverbial soul and to ignore the fact that it is not being kept to the utmost of our abilities is a great betrayal.

MessageFellowm members of the Grand Tribal Council, our current population is of approximetely 69,000,000, need i draw attention to the fact that the legislature is one of the smallest in the world, we want small government but a representative legislature. To deny this basic right will be foolish and against the best interests of our citizens, vote yes or face the wrath of the electorate

MessageI apologise for this. The party member responsible for this has been removed from position and didn't represent our party here.

OC: my friend moved it onto vote whilst i wasn't at the computer and changed the speech a bit.

IC: But the bill is based upon the needs of our nation for a bigger government. We have one of the world largest populations yet one of the smallest governments. So i propose we increase the seat numbers to 350 to represent every 2 voters in our population with one seat as well as having an average of 70 seats per tribe, helping the smaller tribes to be represented more fairly. This would enable an increase of capability within our government to help these prosperus years last longer without creating a large government beurocracy.

MessageWould it not wiser to change our electionary system so that each voter has equal vote, remove the federation and make it a state with one unity ? (OOC: Checked our voting system). But we are inclined to agree.
