Message | We agree with articles 2 and 3. Article 1, we believe poses the risk of allowing profiteering into the health care system. We cannot in good conscience approve this change. |
Date | 08:39:30, December 29, 2017 CET | From | Solentian Secular Realist Party | To | Debating the Healthcare Reform Act |
Message | We agree with Article 2. We fear Article 1 could develop into a situation where the wealthy can pay for better medical treatment. Article 3 would disallow smoking outdoors, which we strongly oppose. |

Message | Allowing private clinics will generate a healthy competition between public and private sector to offer better services. Also such clinics will be heavily regulated so that there won't be any room for malpractice. Further wouldn't it be good for the local economy if the wealthy pay for their health treatments to institutions within the country rather than going abroad and paying vast amounts of money to foreign institutions? |
Date | 09:58:21, December 29, 2017 CET | From | United Democratic Party | To | Debating the Healthcare Reform Act |
Message | As a compromise we will remove the article on smoking. |
Date | 04:54:59, December 30, 2017 CET | From | Austonean Social Democrats | To | Debating the Healthcare Reform Act |
Message | I do have concerns about article one because it opens the door for companies to profit off peoples illnesses. If the bill has enough support we will vote yes only because the private clinics are small and regulated. |
