Bill: Policy on Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Weaponry - 4238

Details

Submitted by[?]: Socialisma Respublika Partio

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4329

Description[?]:

Members of the National Assembly,

It is my belief that this nation's military future should lie with conventional weaponry. Nuclear, biological and chemical ordnance should, in my mind, never be an option on the table.

I therefore propose we look at changing the law and pledge our commitment to a country free of such weapons of mass destruction.

There are, of course, economic, environmental, military and diplomatic issues to look at but I think the positives in this proposal far outweigh the negatives.

I shall now open this up to debate.

MessageIf we end the construction of nuclear and chemical weaponry, we are just letting the international community role over us!

38 out of the 52 nations legally produce biological & chemical weaponry.
And 44 out of the 52 nations legally produce nuclear weaponry.

But banning the production of these types of weapons, we are doing a disservice to the nation.

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left.
