Bill: Neutral Nuclear Power Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Soziale Gegenseitigkeitspartei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4334

Description[?]:

Nuclear power is a great source of energy, but one that creates large amounts of toxic waste. While nuclear power is better than fossil fueled energy, it is still inferior to clean energy. We propose that the government takes a neutral stance on nuclear energy to avoid creating a surplus of toxic waste and expensive power plants that will have to be dealt with in the future.

MessageHerr Representative,

How can we possibly leave local governments up to deciding issues of such grand scale. This is a duty for the Dorvish government directly, not local governments. Local governments simply do not have the resources to handle such a broad scope of importance.

SNP Party Secretary of Science and Technology

MessageHerr Otte,

Local governments represent the people far more closely than the national government. Giving them control of nuclear projects will involve the people's voice in the political process. There is no reason why local governments can't handle this.
