Bill: Espionage trial of Miss Amelia Tamayan

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4335

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The whole house will be only too aware of the recent attempts by the former leader of the United Communist Party to subvert democracy in this country by engaging in espionage abroad.

The ringleaders of this conspiracy have been extradited to face trial for their crimes in Kalistan.

One junior member of the conspiracy, Miss Amelia Tamayan, remains here in Pontesi. She has confessed her crime but, in light of her youth and junior role in the conspiracy, has asked the Justice Minister to consider granting clemency from the death sentence imposed by the court on the charges of treason.

We would welcome to views of other parties on whether this clemency should be granted.

- Justice Minister

MessageOnce again, I would like to state that I have no connection with the espionage, Amlia Tamayan or my so called "wife" that I do not recall having.

MessageI would also point out that the NUP was found not guilty to a international court. Thus there has been no espionage and that proves that this is a power heap by the conservatives and Miss Tamayan is simply a pawn!

MessageMr Speaker,

I would like to thank the UCPP for their ten contributions to this debate. Miss Tamayan is the mistress of the convicted criminal Mr Duncan, not his wife. She has confessed her guilt and been convicted: the only question is her punishment.

MessageTreason is a bad thing, but since the woman did not have a major role, or maybe she wasn't aware about what she has been doing, we may propose to sentence her with -at least- 20 years prison, instead of capital punishment.

MessageJustice Minister,

We will not allow any treasonous acts within this nation. We agree and fully support you and your regime's decision with showing clemency to sentence to convict to 20 years of hard labour.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
