MessageSenators,

The Bill proposed today shames this chamber. To attack our beloved monarch, Roi Abélard, the leader, protector and guide of our nation, the symbol of Kanjor's everlasting and enduring greatness, is to insult the millions of loyal subjects across this land who love their country and their King.

When His Royal Highness heard of the Bill we were discussing today he was saddened, but he expressed his desire that this debate go ahead. His courage, dignity and commitment to the free exchange of ideas is truly an example to us all. I am sure all 650 of the honourable members here today shall make the right choice.

Sénat Leader Hervé Lemaitre
