Messageooc I have based it along similar lines to most modern countries. Health care at 2000 per capita is not out of the range at all, and with over 60 million people we have come in under that. Education is similar - a public school system and some assistance to post-secondary will run you 15-25% of this sort of budget structure. I would like to see lower taxes but cutting health care and education is not popular and those are the two largest items. I already pruned the smaller items as much as possible, and to bring them into line with common practices. If you can argue from the legislation passed that certain articles are too high or too low I am certainly open to suggestions :-)

Also I do not believe that lowering taxes in the game will show a positive benefit to the economy as it might in real life. For that matter I don't believe the budget sways voters at all - perhaps I am wrong. If not, it would be a good feature for the remake.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
