Description[?]:
Riccardo Morelli, Whip of LP: "Mr Speaker, we would start a debate into the Parliament about the current legislation on the salary of the members of Parliament and Government. We think that the current legislation could encourage illegal behavior and first of all bribe schemes and corruptions. For this reason, we propose that the State officials would have their expenses payed by the State, so to discourage them to search further funds, maybe through illegal path accepting bribes. Instead, we think that the current legislation on the financing of the parties for their electoral campaigns is really unfair for the smaller or regional parties or the one "not allignate with the large assets of the country", which cannot be able to collect the same ammount of funds compared with other parties, with the risk of an unfair overexposion of the latter before the voters and, of course, the risk of unhealthy lobbistic activity of private interests. For this reason, we would like propose to introduce a limit to the money a party can collect, which for each elections must to be the highest amount reached by the most funded party during the previous electoral campaign. The parties which through private funds cannot reach that amount will receive public funds to cover the gap. Thank you" |

Random quote: The Wolfsheim Virus is not a real actual disease in the conventional medical sense of the term. Rather, it is a cluster of symptoms which are just part of the general socio-economic disease that is capitalism. The main symptoms the sufferers are experiencing are a direct result of capitalist poverty, as in malnutrition, poor housing and so on, combined with psycho-somatic symptoms which are a direct consequence of the contradictions and stresses which are inherent to the capitalist system. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
