Bill: Cabinet Proposal of January 2194

Details

Submitted by[?]: Agrarian Party of Mordusia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2194

Description[?]:

How we come to this:

The MOU won an amazing election result, so the MP believes they have the right to 5 cabinet seats, whereunder 3 "important seats", HoG, defence and justice.

As the second largest party the TN receive 3 cabinet seats, of which 2 (foreign affairs and finance) are important ones.

As third largest party the MP receives 3 seats, of wich 1 (internal affairs) is an important one.

CQP and DDP each receive one seat, as fourth and fifth largest party in our sacred lands of Mordusia.

------------------------------------

The MP, as always, tries to negotiates so that everyone may be included in the cabinet. Please let us know your suggestions and/or disagreements.

MessageThe DDP and CQP may remember that within a couple of days a new cabinet will be formed without the TN as they go inactive for a while, the MP will than suggest to redistribute the cabinet so that the DDP and CQP may have a better position.

The MP suggests as thus that in the coming week the seats may be redistributed as follow:

MOU: 5 seats
MP: 3 seats
CQP: 3 seats
DDP: 2 seats

Hereby we ask the CQP and the DDP to post the cabinet seats they are intrested in, so that we may have a second cabinet in this legislature with them having the posts they want - please than feel free to suggest any cabinet post you'd like.

We hope the CQP and DDP can find themselves in the current proposal and in the suggestion that they will have a significant increase of influence once the TN inactivates itself. We therefore also suggest this being a Transitional Cabinet that the next cabinet of this legislation, with the seats divided as mentioned above, to be in place by the beginning of next week (tuesday for instance).

Until then, we wait patiently for the suggestions of cabinet seats the CQP and DDP are intrested in, and hope they can in the meanwhile be satisfied with the current proposal - as mentioned only lasting for half the period.

MessageThis seems reasonable enough. I think giving the TN seats now is just red tape though.

MessageThe MP is just trying to compromise, as we have always done, with respect to every party that has seats in the Assembly.

This game is a lot more fun if you have a cabinet seat; and an opposition serves no one.

So this cabinet may work for today, tomorrow, sunday, monday and tuesday might be a switch, so that we may provide a good representation for the upcoming elections.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
