Voting deadline: June 4342

Recognizing that under current law there is a public healthcare system alongside private clinics, and seeing as these clinics are essentially unregulated and allowed to provide their patients with inadequate care, this bill would regulate private clinics to force them to provide their patients with quality healthcare services. |

Message | Herr Speaker, If a private health clinic was giving poor quality care, it would go out of business, if they were providing poor care they would be taken to caught, the market itself regulates the private clinics as they compete with one another. The public health service also provides the flagship standard for all other private clinics to follow. Tatiana Duerr Minister for Health and Social Services |

Message | I agree, however in many places there might not be the glut of private healthcare providers available that would allow this sort of free market competition, and in that case the government needs to intervene in order to keep healthcare services high quality. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This would be a move in the right direction, for the reasons the VSV explained, but we will only have optimum health care provision in this country once the private healthcare sector has been completely eliminated. Besides being incredibly inefficient, private healthcare brings money into the equation, creating a situation where if you are rich, you get good healthcare, whereas if you are poor, you get little healthcare at all. This is completely wrong. Klaus Erdmann (General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party) |
