| Members of the Volkskammer, our party as you know has voted no on the Dorvish Trade Association and Economic Pact, for the fact that it would support an alliance with the reactionary forces in Dorvik. We vehemently refuse to recognize Ludwig III's outrageous claim that he is the King of the "Dundorfian Reich". But I digress. The main reason of which we have called this emergency session, and we will likely call other separate sessions of the Staatsrat and Ministerrat, is on the question of economic sanctions on Dorvik, to weaken their reactionary government and let it be known that monarchism has no place on the Artanian continent. I will read to you an official statement sent to us by the Republic of Valruzia, from the government themselves: "The Government of Valruzia warmly congratulates the Government of Dundorf for its decisive opposition to Dorvish Trade Association and Economic Pact. Valruzia would like to reassure Dundorf that it has Valruzia's full support as the Government in Nowogard also believes that the imperialism of Haldor and invasive policies of Dorvik must be stopped. Valruzia is closely monitoring the actions of the Kingdom of Dorvik in the de jure "State Commissariat in Narikaton and Darnussia" which is de facto Dorvik's puppet state. We hope that our possible efforts to cease with the Dorvish political occupation of Dundorf will be helped with support from Dundorf. With assurances of our highest consideration, Government of the Republic of Valruzia, Nowogard, December 4343." We, the VKPD, have not sent a confirmation yet on the matter, but instead, in an equal workers state such as ours, put forth the possibility of a signing of a treaty of friendship with the Republic of Valruzia on the recent actions of Dorvik, and possibly our government coming to a consensus on the aforementioned economic sanctions. We leave our recent statements up for the SED to debate. Once a confirmation is reached, then promptly, sessions of the Ministerrat, and then the Staatsrat, shall be called on the same matters. If all three are in agreement, a deadline will be set for drafting of a treaty which relates to both a possible friendship between Dundorf and Valruzia, and economic sanctions on Dorvik. Comrade Zellweger, your speech in Neues Dundorf made that quite clear.to this House and the general public. However, I wonder if your stance reflects the official policy of the VKPD There are rumors that your party is split on this issue. Could you respond to this, please? The SED is restrained on this matter. First of all, our nation and citizens are just recovering from the civil war. This healing process is not completed ye as you are problably aware of. Doesn't Herr Zellweger believe that we should be focussed on building the DDR again as our prime national goal ? King Ludwig III as Head of State is just hereditary and symbolic. It might not be the policy of the Dorvische Government to force us to accept their King as our Head of State. We would like to ask the Foreign Minister, Genosse Thorben Schwenke (VKPD), about his assessment of this issue. Could the Minister please respond to this ? For now that's all. | Message | In response to the first question, we showcase our recent admittance into the Artanian Anti-Monarchist Union and subsequent full status of membership granted to us by your party as an example that anti-monarchism is a core ideal of the VKPD's manifesto. Indeed, our party was split, but frankly that may have been due to my wording on the subject matter. I am a bold speaker, at times. On your second question, we fully believe that we should continue being focused on rebuilding the DDR. We'd however rather see funds be funneled from another place that isn't run by monarchists, who at this very moment are controlling the country of Narkiaton-Darnussian. It's very clear that it's a de-facto puppet state of them, as stated by the government of Valruzia. The ratification of the treaty was already denied, so we must look to new avenues for economic friendship. Perhaps the Republic of Valruzia, who warmly sent us a dispatch from their government mere hours after I gave my deliberation to the Volkskammer. On your third question, we regret to inform you that Genosse Schwenke passed away two years ago due to a thunderclap heart attack after a meeting of the Staatsrat. His family wished for privacy on the matter, but the vacancy has been noticed by now, henceforth why our party has submitted another cabinet proposal, with his new replacement, Erhard Bayer. Regardless, Jürgen Kirschner, the former Acting Foreign Minister of the Provisional Government, who has some experience in foreign diplomacy, remarked that although the name is symbolic, typically in monarchies, other royal titles still apply to countries that exist. The Dundorfian Reich has been dissolved for over 2,000 years. It is a long extinct entity and we formally wish for Ludwig III to omit the position from his royal title. Until then, we, the VKPD shall draft sanctions on Dorvik for approval by the remainder of the Volkskammer. Modelled after Valruzia's sanctions, we wish to impose passport limitations on Dorvish nationals entering the country and economic sanctions. I hope that my comments will clarify any confusions the SED may have. We will then await your response and come to a consensus on the Dorvik Question, and then call sessions of the Staatsrat and Ministerrat, and come to a final consensus on the matter. | Message | We shall see to it that we pass a Grenzgesetz, limiting Dorvish nationals into the country on matters of national security. This shall be considered Phase I of the sanctions on Dorvik, the second, of which can be discussed in the Staatsrat and Ministerrat, is on economic sanctions. However, until a confirmation from the SED is heard, we will wait on drafting our bill and presenting it to the Volkskammer. To counterract the Bill proposed by the Staatsrat of Dorvik, we propose more power be given to the Grenztruppen and Zollverwaltung of our nation to prevent any reactionary elements from trickling into the country and poisoning the proletariat with bourgeois ideals.
