Bill: Equal knowledge across the nation
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Thomasian Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2196
Description[?]:
By splitting Museums and Libraries into regional control we have divided the nation’s access to information. Knowledge should be accessible to the same standard across the nation and by placing libraries under national rather than regional control the movement of books and exhibits from one region to the other should be made easier by removing differences in bureaucratic methods across regions. |

Message | The TN is wrong here. This measure provides museums and libraries with more freedom in how their manage their own facilities. OOC: Remember, I'm a librarian, and I know about these things. |

Message | Ah, that is, the current measure provides libraries and museums with more freedom in how to manage their own facilities. This measure would eliminate that freedom, and make librarians and curators into mere automatons and puppets of the State. |

Message | Indeed they would now come under the control of the state rather than the regions. They don't have freedom to make decisions now, this is just shifting desicion making to a more sensible place to remove regional differences. OOC: I worked in a library and I know librarians. regional differences bugger up the transfer of books across internal borders and make things more akward. |

Message | OOC: Okay everyone, who would you rather trust on this measure? Someone who once worked in a library and knows librarians, or someone (me) who is 2 months away from earning his Masters degree in Library Science? |
