MessageMs Speaker,

The Liberal Party continuously cuts funds from vital ministries and then increases funding to healthcare and other services keeping us in debt and our nation vulnerable to foreign nations. The Ministry of Finance will release a tax plan and budget proposal by January 4352.

MessageMr Speaker,

I am afraid, Victor Sullivan is being extremely misleading. We convened a meeting last night in order to establish a discussion on how we are going to deal with the economic recession. The economy has contracted 5.99% and we are in dire need of expanding investment.

However, it is very interesting that Victor attempts to smear our party given the fact he or any other member of his party was not at the meeting. This even though they had been invited. This is a well-planned budget which aims to increase GDP and stabilise the economy.

It would do the Tea Party favours to get on board with this and save our economy from further deterioration.

MessageMr Speaker,

Signals to the market that this budget isn't going to pass has caused a further contraction of 1.16%.

We are now throwing down the gauntlet. Either the Tea Party put the nation before their party, or we walk and call an election.I will submit economic data to Parliament now for scrutiny and debate on the best route forward. We will not take any option off the table.

MessageIf this budget doesn't pass, then we must hold a snap election to see what the people think

The markets are contracting, and another recession is almost inevitable. We must put country before party and get this budget passed to stabilize the economy

Leader of the Labour Party
