Bill: Bomb explodes outside Marligantos local gov't building

Details

Submitted by[?]: Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2070

Description[?]:

A car bomb has exploded today outside the local government building of Marligantos. Within hours, the Front for the Liberation of the Fatherland has claimed responsibility for the attack, issuing the following brief statement:

"The People's Progressive Party claimed that our acts of violence against the liberal filth infesting our glorious country were minor, few and far between. Clearly, that means we weren't doing our job properly. To make it up to the PPP, we left them a present outside their nest of woms a few hours ago. We sincerely hope they enjoyed it."

No reports have been made so far on the number of casualties or the extent of property damage.

MessageWell, it's incredible, but I heard a rumour that no one got hurt as the bomb was rather inferior and the party headquarters well - protected.
However that has yet to be confirmed.

MessageYes, reports that there were no casulties due to incredible counter-intelligence led by our great Philosopher, Tony Hadar, are true. We new exactly when and where the bomb was going to explode and let the bomb detonate to allow the crazys to die.

MessageThe word I've been hearing is that there were no casualties, as the bomb went off in the middle of the night, and that the timing of the bombing was intended more to send a message than to inflict a large number of casualties. However, and these reports are still preliminary, word is that the damage to the Marligantos County Legislature is extensive, and the archeticturally stunning hertiage building may not be salvagable.

MessageThe local Fire Department's response was timely and effective. The local police have cordoned off the area. They are performing a search of nearby areas with general and aerial support from the local base of the Armed Forces of Gaduridos. Indeed reports confirm that the building may not be salvageable and on local commentary, leading citizens of Marligantos blasted the FLF for the attack.

MessageThe Navy of the Armed Forces of Gaduridos has been given priority orders by the Philosopher to assist local police in patrolling the waters around the entire island of Marligantos to stop any terrorist smugglers with weapons or any kinds of supplies for the FLF. The Air Force will continue aerial reconnaissance of remote rural and outlying areas on the island. The Army will raid and clear and nest or den of the FLF found. Army Elite Combat Teams will be used for covert raiding.

MessageOOC: Thank you, PPP, for RP-ing in good faith. The SDP and NLP should have a look over this page:

Specifically, the section entitled "Refusing to take any losses. Or lose. Ever." We'd hate for this story arc to degenerate into combat with unstoppable weapons hitting impenetrable shields.

MessageThe FLF sincerely apologises for any civilian casualties, and promises to aid the families of the victims if they ever get into trouble with the government.

On a related note, the FLF has announced that it will mercilessly seek out and execute anyone found selling information to the government, along with their families. "The reward may be substantial, but we will make the risk so high that it won't be worth it", claimed Ben Franco.

Finally, to combat the effects of the naval blocade on Marligantos, the FLF has taken to raiding private and public stores of every kind, and is stepping up its propaganda campaign to recruit more fighters.
