Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4361
Description[?]:
For too long the spectre of cheap labour has haunted Luthori society We propose that working adults be properly remunerated for their endeavours, that workers' be protected from working unsafe hours and that companies be given incentives to allow worker representation at Board level. The mimimum wage has not kept pace with the economic changes in Luthori society and cost of living workers' and their families experience. Nor is it safe for workers, particularly in certain sectors, to work for long hours. Encouraging the growth of Workers' representatives on the Boards of Directors or Democratic Workers' Councils would not only reduce labour exploitation, discrimination and inequality, but an increase workplace democracy could also see increases in productivity as workers' feel more secure, content and feel a stake in the future of the company.
