| This reorganisation of our armed forces shall see our nation move from an aggressive nuclear weapons policy, to a more reactive and humane position. Only in the event of a direct attack shall we consider using such weapons. The passing of this Bill shall also officially end our current peacetime National Service programme. Citizens will not be required to undertake any active military or civilian service, however they may be required to serve within the armed forces if the country is at war.
