From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | Most definitely opposed. This will allow murderers to rot in our prisons. What about justice for the families of those that were killed by murderers? This will be a slap in the face to them |

From | Social-Conservative party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | As Crimes against Mankind is yet to be defined and is a vague formulation this leaves it open for interputation of judges.. weakness or strenght, depends on how one looks on it. But we are supportive |

From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | RP it would be an even bigger slap in the face for a family of an innocent man/woman who was punished for a crime they didn't commit. Also the pain murderers cause can never be made up for and killing them just gives people the easy way out. We believe people should have to think about what they have done.
The death penalty has i believe achieved all it can in our society and we should remove it has a punishment for capital crimes.
If somoene takes from society they should give back as much as they can to repay their debt to society. Killing them gives them the easy way out. |

From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | I would like to introduce to the floor the Death Pentatly Bill that was introduced by the Former Redneck Party.

In it, both you and the SCP voted to make it legal for capital murder.
If I may ask, what would you say about a resolution on how the Death Penalty should be done? That way we can keep it as it is now but have a clear process for deciding it? Call it an amendment to the bill. |

From | Social-Conservative party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | We are for the Death Penalty, if clearly defined, and it is without a doubt certain that the crime has been commicted. And we feel that this bill here feels, and probably is, much clearer in who deserves death penalty or not.

From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | we voted for it at a time when it could produce results in bringing law and order to our society. We are now a civilised country and think that peoplewho takefrom society should give back. The death penalty is old fashioned and has been known to escalate crime in underpriveleged areas. The proposed bill does make a compromise between for and against the death penalty and clearly defines who is legible for execution. |

From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | This will do th victims family injustice. Those that are put to death have been captured and tred using DNA evidence. This act will let those people escape their fate. |
Date | 09:55:17, March 09, 2006 CET |
From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | DNA evidence can't always be obtained and cn be used for framing others. As we get more advanced with things like DNA the criminal mind is forced to be more careful. And this gives them the easy way out. not allowing them to pay their community back. |

From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | that is your opinion but you aren't sovereign. And also you can never be 100% sure you are putting the right person to death. No justice system in modern day terra will always make the right decisions. The crimes that the current proposal does allow to be punished by death leave behind great amounts of evidence. |

From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | Oh for the love of God. Even the Bible said that capital punishment for those that commit murder is alright. |
Date | 02:12:03, March 10, 2006 CET |
From | Greenish Liberal Democratic Socialists | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | The GLDS doesn't believe the "eye for eye, tooth for tooth" principle, we believe it's out-dated.
Also, we can't have people executed, who appear to be innocent some years later. There has to be absolute proof there guilty. |
Date | 03:09:00, March 10, 2006 CET |
From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | Actually, that is much later in the Bible. I was talking about the Book of Genesis. |
Date | 08:29:25, March 10, 2006 CET |
From | Social-Conservative party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | THE GLDS says what we think here and points out a good point. And in the extention of that argument. Can we ever be absolutely certain that a person is guilty of the crime ? Of course we can, but if it is a law that is easy to use that one of death sentence, it will be missused. The current reform is much better than befoer. |
Date | 10:29:28, March 10, 2006 CET |
From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | yes but the bible doesn't account for the wrong person being executed does it! In an ideal world where the murderer will always be the one executed then there would be a very strong case for the implementation of the death penalty but as we are thee is no way we can be sure that we've got the right man.
RP : and because the bible says it you think we should just blindly follow that. This is the same "book" that says everone is borne with original sin and should be punished for etenrinty. The bible does have some truth that can be related to human society but some of it like "eye for a eye....." was written when society was on nowhere near as adavanced as us. So we don't base our political decisions on any holy book but on what we feelwould best suit tukarali at the time of consideration.

From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | This will make sure that justice is not done. You people who claim to believe in justice don't if you approve this bill. Think about the victim's families before you vote. |
Date | 10:50:17, March 12, 2006 CET |
From | One Nation Socialist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty | Message | this is a step towards a much more civilised society we are building. To the people i say " Give us the tools and we'll finish the job". |
