Bill: Public Health Services Act
Details

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4373
Description[?]:
While we understand the need for compassion in the Healthcare system in Rutania our current system leaves us with bloated cost and an extremely large Health Ministries Budget. This bill proposes maintaining protections and government funding for those on low-income but allowing Rutanians who can reasonably afford their Health care cost to pay those cost. This bill is the first step in reducing our National spending. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This current People's Assembly has already done more than many of their predecessors when it comes to making the tough choices to get our Budget balanced and achieving tax reform. I now call on this Assembly to continue on their bold path and reform one of Rutania's largest institution. Our Health and Social Services Ministry has remained bloated and untouchable for years, with this bill we have a chance to reform our system while still protecting those vulnerable Rutanians who need the safety net of the Commonwealth. Message | Mr. Speaker, It is absolutely shameful that so many members of this Assembly stand in favor of the big government institution that is our Health and Social Services Ministry. The election shows us that the people of Rutania want a smaller government and the Whigs have offered a plan to shrink the Ministries duties while still protecting those vulnerable Rutanians yet the legislature seems determined to preserve the nanny-state and all its many unnecessary functions. -Prime Minister Carson Threadgood |
