The Education and the Health and Social Services spending is tied at first for national priority. The unregualated amount of time a person can recieve unemployment is a problem. These people may live off the state and not find a job. They could use the money for illegal purposes and can add to the national unemployment.

MessageLowering and capping welfare and unemployment benefits... Ick.

If we've got an economic downturn and not enough jobs to go around, people are going to suffer. Of course we don't expect people to stay on welfare forever. But this bill will measurably lower our citizens' quality of life.

MessageNo, it will only lower the quality of life of some of our citizens. The certain period of time can be adjusted to meet the needs of the unemployed. This bill is to stop some people from using the government's money to supply their evil desires.
