Description[?]:
The president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Felipe Santos and the independent congressman Edmundo Nores, who recently held a meeting with the SDP’s leadership, would like to formally request both of the factions who are fighing in the civil war to put their arms down before this unnecessary loss of life continues. Both of them push for the same actions to be accepted by the combatants, those are:
-Give permision for the other side to recover its dead men from the ongoing battlefields.
-Allow the evacuation of civilians from beseiged cities or towns (For example, Norterra)
-Encourage both sides to trade POW’s for their own captured men.
-Agree to try for a peaceful resolution to the conflict through a negotiation with the PSD as the mediator.
We’d like to know what both sides think of this and urge them to please consider the nations best interests only. |
