MessageOf course we're not ashamed. You conveniently skip over increases in funding for foreign affairs, finance, justice, science and technology, food and agriculture, environment and tourism, and trade and industry, each of which are vital service providers domestically and internationally but I suppose that doesn't fit your socialist doomsday narrative, does it?

The privatization of defence industries, and the health and education systems significantly reduces the level of government funding required, hence the reductions. Running a defence budget at almost 10% of GDP is unnecessary and wasteful and effectively highlights the inability of your party to govern in the best interests of everyday people. The budget reductions we passed do not put millions out of work as you might suggest, but rather changes their employer from government to private enterprise.
