Message"Mr. Speaker,

"It costs nearly 50bn MRD to fund university tuition for everyone. It is putting needless strain on our education budget for purely ideological purposes.

Some say that education is a right. I agree, but the state shouldn't fund gender studies classes for some rich kid in Rechtenburg, or things like that"

*Chuckles from SP Benches*

"This will save us over 25bn MRD while making sure that working-class students still have a chance of university education

I have no doubt that the Greens will oppose this, despite all the reasons I have given, but, then again, you can't expect fiscally responsible policies from a bunch of closeted Metzists"

MessageWe welcome the news that non-citizens will no longer be entitled to free tuition, although we have to ask why it was that this was ever granted in the first place? Mordusia is not a charity.

We would prefer a system where students start to pay back the cost of their tuition after their earnings have exceeded a certain amount.
