Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

It is clear to me that the laws of the land should be uniform and consistent throughout Vanuku. Following a review of the current judicial system we believe this is not necessarily the case. This is mainly due to anomalies occurring between the interpretation of laws and sentences being handed by the five different regional court systems we have in place.

I would suggest that the Kingdom of Vanuku is not a federal state and that the administration of law in Skrovestes should be the same as it is in Bomkalek, for example. Therefore, I propose to change the system as follows:

Article 1) A uniform system of criminal, civil and family courts is implemented across the nation administered by the Ministry of Justice and its various departments and sub-offices, replacing the existing regional and national courts system.

Article 2) Henceforth, any appeals on criminal, civil and family matters will be heard by The Vanukean High Court of Appeal with any appeals on points of law of the greatest public importance, constitutional or otherwise, heard by the Supreme Court of Vanuku.
