| This bill asks for the ratification of the <a href="viewtreaty.php?treatyid=4077">Expanded Embargo of the Republic of Saridan</a>. Saridan have become committed to fascism and oppression, and have formed concentration camps for those they deem "subhuman". This includes a minority of Yeudis. We must stand in solidarity with our brothers, and oppose the actions of the government of Saridan. |

| Message | I just combed through their laws and cultural protocols and so forth. I wouldn't describe them as "fascist", more like a theologically-motivated Oligarchal apartheid state. I threw "theologically motivated" in there, because, while the main issue with them is their penchant for segregation and racism, they also have a whole slew of laws that have nothing to do with race, like Homosexuality is illegal, and women aren't allowed to have jobs. This is most likely motivated by a gross distortion of their (Hosian) scriptures. Regardless of terminology, their predilection for discrimination on the basis of immutable characteristics is appalling, and we applaud the BTP for putting forth this much-needed bill and taking a stand against oppression, racism, and tyranny. |
