Bill: Pension Act of November 2197

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: December 2198
Description[?]:
It is noted that some people don't have the natural inclination to save in the form of a private RRSP for when they reach old age. Thus, many come up short and are forced to work because they don't have the means by which to subsist in their old age. For this reason, the state needs to have a plan in place so that our eldery aren't left in the cold. By having a compulsory system, we can ensure that people pay to invest for their future. When they are retired, their cash flow drops signficantly and by having a small safety net in place, we can help protect them. It may be money that they can't have immediately, but this money can help preserve them when they are retired or unable to work due to age. In having a public system, there is still no need to eliminate a private one for those who would like to invest in their own private fund. |

Message | A compulsory private system would accomplish the same thing while having additional beneficial effects on our economy. The Front for State Prosperity will support a move to a full public system once we achieve our goal of having state ownership of the commanding heights of industry, or more. |

Message | AM RLP must oppose; as the current private systems are run more effeciently than a public run system would be. The beneficial effects of competition cannot be overstated. |
Date | 01:16:40, March 11, 2006 CET | From | Likaton Fascist Front | To | Debating the Pension Act of November 2197 |
Message | This is an excellent proposal that increases the choice that consumers have while not sacrificing the certianty of a public pension system. With private pension systems competing for the consumer LIK costs will go down and returns will go up. We fully support and thank the AM-Proletariat Front for such a palatable proposal. |
