MessageActually, we don't. We do not believe that the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service should apply to necessary goods like energy, electricity, water, you name it. Allowing for one company to run everything will only mean higher prices that benefit the companies, not the consumers, more inefficiency, bureaucratic red tape, and corruption. What we want is state ownership of major industries, and that is different than monopolies. Monopolies is firm based. Nationalisation is government run services.

MessageLiberty believe the KWRF are splitting hairs. A monopoly can exist in either public or private domains. The difference is government monopolies are usually more coercive relying on a "go to jail" type philosophy for non-payment of say utility bills enforced by another state monopoly in the form of the police force and have the unrelenting taxpayer money and organisation to burn to pursue you.

Private monopolies tend to have a "buy our product or don't" philosophy but don't threaten you with force or jail. That is not to say Liberty are making the case for monopolies. Simply pointing out it is a difference with a minor distinction only. Liberty will continue to support free enterprise. We believe it is the best way to move a country forward.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
