Description[?]:
Tukarali can't claim to be a civilized and developed country while it keeps mistreating the LGBTQI+ community. Too many people have had their lives destroyed just because of who they love or what they are and feel like. We can't accept this anymore, we must make sure everyone is entitled the right to human dignity and that equality is present in the laws of this country. |

Message | While we invite everyone to debate this bill and state their opinions, we want you to take into account that on these types of issues, involving human rights and freedoms, we aren't that flexible as we believe there can't be a compromise most of the time. |

Message | Tukarali has been mistreating its LGBTQI+ community for too much time. A lot of people have suffered what no human being should ever suffer. We can't stand by and do nothing, we must do something and there's a lot that's within our reach. We must make sure everyone has the same rights. That goes from sexual relations to marriage and adoption. But not only that, we should allow people to change their gender, to identify their gender freely and to dress as they want. Others lives aren't to be dictated by us, others have the power to make the decisions about their own lives without other people judging them. This bill is a step towards the elimination of prejudice and hatred towards people that have been treated as second-class citizens and so it's our moral duty to vote for it and make it the law of the land. Message | Testimony of a gay man (For privacy reasons his name isn't revealed) "The current laws of Tukarali, concerning the community I'm part of, are just inhumane, disgraceful and ridiculous. I've been kicked out of my own home because I've been labeled a sinner who's an embarrassment to his own family. The only help I've been offered is to convert myself to a straight man because the government believes I have a disease and I must get treated. I've been refused work because there's no legislation protecting me and those who hire think I'm a cancer to society. I've been victim of insults and bullying because I hold hands with another man. I've been refused the right to get married because I'm into guys. Now the man I loved has died because of AIDS. I've been refused the right to adopt kids because I can turn them gay too, according to some. In the end, this is all motivated by prejudices passed by past generations. The truth is that I didn't choose to be gay, I chose to be open about it and society has reprimanded me for that. It's the same society that accepted homosexual acts in ancient Egypt, in ancient Rome and in ancient Greece. It's the same society that helps others when they need. We are all humans! Our laws must represent what we all are and treat us all as equals because my sexual orientation doesn't make me less than you. Do the right thing, do the moral thing and approve this piece of legislation that advances LGBTQI+ rights like no other before." |
