MessageWhy?

Hutori has a long history of being a respected military power and we have greater cultural ties with them than we do with Lourenne.

Lourenne has always been a sub-player on the international stage. Furthermore, it is being governed by bloc parties which have a stranglehold on the country's domestic politics.

MessageLiberty would also like to be given more detail as to why such an important decision such as this is to be taken one way or the other. It seems BR advanced his proposal based on nothing more than the name of the country that sounded nicest to him. We vote no.

MessageLourenne asking Beluzia to switch our vote for Seat D is simply not enough for us to vote for them. The Security Council is a council that was set up to keep world peace and is made up of nations that have proven themselves to be representatives on the council. It is not something where you try to bribe or gamble your way to the seat. We will vote No

MessageResponses to each party:

BCP: We do not see Lourenne as being a small country, nor should cultural ties become a large part of the issue here. The Party currently in power in Lourenne have several ideological concepts which they would like to bring forward and put into place on a global platform.

Liberty: The BR has had no involvement in the planning of this proposal etc.. it's been the sole work of the UFOB. Assuming your comments aren't influenced by your thought that the BR planned this legislation here is our response; As we stated prior the MP's of Lourenne have been in touch with us and many global concepts which we believe strongly in are something which they seek to bring into play. The people of Lourenne have faced many years of injustice and have been involved in a jagged history which the current HOG is trying to change. We want to build strong alliances with countries from around the world, Lourenne being one of them. If you want to know more about the Global Policies I will be more than happy to write them up for you. Rest-assured we did not plan this proposal based upon the fact the Lourenne has a "Pretty Name", and we ask with respect that you don't go accusing us of such things.

KWRF: Again, I never made this clear and I am solely to blame for that aswell. As you know personally, the UFOB have been engaging in talks with other parties from around the Terra the parties in Lourenne being one of them. I will send you over a list of plans they have and hope that it will convince you to reconsider your vote.

MessageThe UFOB and the BR are so inseparable these days this mistake is easy to make.

Nonetheless we would have appreciated some outline and depth to your proposal BEFORE you put it forward. Please do send Liberty more information regarding your global policies. We'd be interested to read them.

MessageGreetings members of the Beluzian Legislation,

We can assure you that our decision to run for security council was very well planned out. Currently, there are multiple countries who are inactive within the council and are deemed to be unfit for the council as a result of that. I can assure you that the United Front has not decided to vote for Lourenne because of our pretty name, but because of our good intentions and opportunities that we can provide for the Security Council.

Our intentions are to encourage you to vote for us. To have activity within the Security Council and to have peaceful motives for it. We have not and do not gamble or bribe anyone anywhere to receive the votes that we need. Voting for a country that is not interested in the security council is a lost vote for us and a lost vote for an active Security Council.

Lourenne is a major player on the international community and we intend to continue that. We can assure you that we are more than prepared to give the security council our best efforts and include our peaceful views.

We please encourage you to think better of your decision.

Respectfully,

Philippe Orléans
Minister of Foreign Affairs
État Canrillaise de Lourenne

Random fact: In general, role-play requires the consent of all players.

Random quote: "Global warmers predict that global warming is coming, and our emissions are to blame. They do that to keep us worried about our role in the whole thing. If we aren't worried and guilty, we might not pay their salaries. It's that simple." - Kary Mullis
