Bill: Clean Air Act (2198)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Deltarian Nationalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2198

Description[?]:

To protect Hobrazian citizens health we should try and make our air quality the highest in Terra. By ending car ownership we will need to invest heavily in public transport but this in turn would mean all our citizens would need to travel on public transport so the income from faires should cover that initial investment. By bringing back the restrictive industrial pollution standards we will be helping protect Terra as well as Hobrazia from the effects of acid rain and global warming by reducing the number of green-house gases we release.

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer.

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn
