Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: April 4408
Description[?]:
The Unión Demócrata Republicana Confederal believes that the state needs to regulate the way foods are grown, harvested and processed. The recognition of food safety issues and attempts to address them began many years ago with the many journalistic accounts that raised public concern about food safety and sanitization of the food industry. The UDRC sees the need for laws to address food safety, misbranding, and adulteration. Our citizens need to be informed about food additives and food preservatives used to disguise unsanitary production processes. Moreover, they have the right to truth in labeling. The UDRC believes that only through having the proper information our citizens can make truly free decisions about their food choices. |
