MessageNo. In this way will have only 8 months of real legislature, that it is very short.

MessageSD you would have 16 months with which to put forward legislation and have it voted upon, plenty of time.

MessageSince each law have an iter legis of 8 months and all laws put on vote on elections are back on debate, we have 8 months before elections that are useless and 8 months after them. Then, we can vote only on 8 months.

MessageHow are the eight months after an election useless? You can still put bills to vote, that oddly enough will passed/defeated prior to the next election.

MessageWe see SDs point - no bills passed for the first eight months and any bills proposed in the last eight months are pointless, with the exception of those few bills where a majority brings immediate passage. True there is still 16 months to work with but it is restrictive. Too bad we could not also change the time till voting to six months or even four, but this would be unfair to those who cannot make it online every day. How about 32 months?

Messageooc: I prefer a multiple of 6, since in this way we have election on the same time (6 months = 1 RL day).

Personally, I prefer a 42 months legislature (a RL week), better if elections are on wednesday afternoon. In this way we can have the first votation on sunday, when it seems that all players return active. Last saturday is an example of what I mean.

Messagewell a multiple of 6 discriminates against players who arent online at that particular time. With an uneven cycle, everybody would have a chance to get an election at his favourite time.

MessageOr, more probably, make all unhappy. Since the timezones of each players have a maximum difference of 8, I think that CET midday could be a nice solution.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
