| Dear Colleagues, Currently, it is illegal to refuse to take part in the military. When I was Minister of Defence, I played an active role in the disapproval of this and wanted to bring a change. The current law does not take into account any health or age concerns. Pregnant women are clearly not likely to perform military roles whilst the elderly may not feel up to being on the nations front line. With all of this in mind, we believe we should allow conscientious objectors for front line and but they will still have to take part in other roles to keep the strength of the country. To make it fairer the following will be placed: 1. Pregnant women can request to be fully exempt for health reasons of the child and themselves 2. Severely disabled people can be exempt 3. The elderly in declining health can become exempt This will all be managed by the Minister of Defence in order to provide fairness but strength to our country Jacob Rhee Prime Minister |
