Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4413
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, War with Deltaria has become bogged down and it would be tempting to use terrible measures to facilitate victory rather than stick to conventional methods. I, therefore, believe we should repeal some of the far too open laws put in place by the Minister of Defence so we can regulate the use of certain weaponry - such as biological and chemical options as well as land mines. The unsolicited use of these, particularly in civilian areas, would bring an adverse reaction from the world community, would give some of our opponents the opportunity to shout "war crimes" and, frankly, I believe they are not necessary to win this war as Deltaria will capitulate. Therefore, I propose these changes. Bhtjar Harif Member of the Grand Council |

Message | Mr Speaker, This is exactly what happens when a conflict begins to drag on and on. At first, every member of this Grand Council was 100 per cent behind our actions in this conflict but over the last 18 months doubts have start to creep in. As casualties mount up so the doubts are voiced and more people start to look towards more peaceful or compromising policies; however, these often only have the effect of limiting our armed forces' ability to do their duty and prolonging the war! Nevertheless, unless we start to show the doubters that victory is close at hand more and more will join their cause. That is why I appeal to Prefect Nasir to look at our war strategy and devise a way to move from the current attritional approach to ending the Deltarian resistance as quickly as possible. We have technological superiority, the finest military on Terra and the Akrosmojad Agreement has been activated. We have everything we need at our disposal to prevent the deaths of thousands more of our soldiers and to liberate Jelbania in an instance. Let us show the enemy that we are now frightened to use all weapons at our disposal. Now is the time to act! Duke Brnó Zhtál Leader of the Z-MJP |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
Random quote: "Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners." - Edward Abbey |
