Bill: P.d.l. 06/4413: Animal Rights

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fronte Democratico - P.L.

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4413

Description[?]:

Paolo Gentile-Silvero, Secretary of the FD:
A reform necessary to protect animal rights, it is dangerous to leave private individuals to keep animals in danger or exotic because they do not have the security measures of zoos or similar organizations, then there may be cases of abandonment or loss in the urban environment of these animals , and even if they were dispersed in the environment it would not be their environment and would be even more in danger.

The FD really does not like the environment. First you want to abolish nuclear power which drastically reduces green house emissions. Now you want to take away animals from truly caring owners and give them away to organisations which will probably be overfilled with them following the passage of this law. This will only further encourage ILLEGAL hunting and trading of these poor animals which will be stripped from their nice owners.

We do agree on bestiality though.

MessagePaolo Gentile-Silvero, FD:

They are ridiculous accusations, can we know that the extinct or exotic animal is treated by its master? No, maybe yes but when it's too late and is abandoned or lost. Instead we can know how a zoo will treat one of the aforementioned animals? Yes, because they are organizations heavily controlled by the state.
You say that these measures will increase the rate of animals hunted or sold illegally. We say: NO, rather the opposite because with the zoos checked it will be more difficult to sell or illegally hunt these animals for the traffickers of living beings.
I conclude, you say that the FD does not mind the environment, even this time say no, because the majority of political observers classifies the FD policies on the environment and ecology as "environmentalist" while those of the PND are "skeptic".

Well, many private people can provide animals with a way better environment than zoos.

MessagePaolo Gentile-Silvero, FD:
I know, but the risk is too much high, in zoos there are experts on how treat an endagered or exotic animal. Privates, often do not have these skills.
